Blaby LSA Coach Development Grant Scheme
As part of Blaby District Local Sports Alliance's commitment to supporting local sports clubs, the Blaby LSA Coach Development Grant Scheme aims to support the development of local volunteers, coaches and clubs by offering them financial assistance to access National Governing Body coaching qualifications in their chosen sport.
This is a one off funding opportunity to provide grants to eligible applicants until there is no funding left. The grant will fund up to 50% of the total qualification cost up to a maximum of £100. The grant can be used towards the attendance and completion of a National Governing Body coaching qualification or Sports Leadership Course, e.g Level One Certificate in Coaching Football or England Hockey's Leadership Award. Successful applicants are required to deliver and record 10 hours of voluntary coaching that benefits Blaby District Local Sports Alliance or its partners and submit a case study with pictures when completed. The grant will be paid in two 50% payments when evidence requirements have been submitted.

Your application will be assessed at the next available LSA meeting and you will be informed of the panels decisision shortly after. If you require a decision on your applcation before the next available LSA meeting please let us know on your form as we have an elected sub group that can assess your application and provide you with a decision within 2 weeks. GO GOLD Talented Coaches Funding - Podium Award
This grant is co-ordinated by Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport utilising funding provided by Leicestershire County Council.
The GO GOLD Podium Coach Award is for coaches working towards their level 3 award or higher. The grant is up to a maximum of £1,000 per annum to help fund coaching qualification fees and can only be applied for once in any 12 month period. This award requires successful applicants to feedback about their coaching experiences via an online blog.
The applicant should be coaching in an Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth Sport and MUST BE delivering in a national governing body performance/talent pathway programme E.G a centre of excellence, regional or county performance centre or county squad etc.
The applicant will be required to hold a current level two national governing body coaching award in the sport for which they are applying and must be prepared to complete thier level three coaching award during the programme (LRS recognise that in some sports it will not be possible to complete a level three coaching qualification in the 12 month funding period).

What support will the coach recieve?
- Training needs analysis and Personal Development Planning
- Financial support of up to £1,000 to help fund qualification fees
- Access to a bespoke CPD programme (based on the coaches needs, working with key partners, for example, Loughborough University & Sports Coach UK)
- Opportunity to network with fellow performance coaches
- On-going support from the LRS Coaching Development Manager
