Blaby District Council provide a variety of small scale grants which enable sports clubs, organisations and community groups the opportunity to develop their service.

This could include funding for:

  • Small scale developments
  • One off events
  • Marketing and Advertising

Leicestershire Rutland and Sport has GO GOLD funding that is available to apply for. The aim of GO GOLD is to support local, talented athletes, including those athletes who are being recognised by their National Governing Bodies as being our future Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth athletes and potential medal winners.

GO GOLD also now operates a means testing system, offering financial support to athletes who can demonstrate a financial need for the funding.


Sport England offer a variety of grant opportunities to help clubs and organisations increase opportunities to develop sport and physical activity in the local community.

Grant opportunities available include community asset fund, small grants and strategic facilities.

The Blaby District Local Sports Alliance provide small scale grants for Coaches, Athletes and local organisations within the Blaby District. The grants help provide opportunities for local residents to enhance their sport and physical activity experience.
