A Call to Facility Providers: Register Your Reopening!

A Call to Facility Providers: Register Your Reopening!

Posted: Tue, 09 Mar 2021 10:33

The pandemic has caused significant disruption to sport and physical activity opportunities for almost a year. During this time, many clubs, community groups and other organisations within our society have struggled to access facilities that support them in delivering their physical activity offer.

As current restrictions ease, we're keen to help facility operators (such as community centres, villages halls, schools, facility-owning clubs, schools etc.) celebrate and promote their reopening by relaunching our Facility Finder tool.

The tool is designed to help facilities communicate that they're open and available, and help groups who need a facility find a suitable space where they need it. An interactive map will allow users to see which facilities are open, and quickly view useful information, such as a website address, social media page, or contact information.

If you're responsible for operating a facility, please complete this short survey to have your information added to the facility finder.

The Facility Finder will be available on this page from Monday 12th April.

If you have any queries regarding the Facility Finder, or access to facilities in general, please contact Joe Hall (Sports Facilities Development Officer) via j.hall@lrsport.org.
